Microsoft releases Windows 10 update that should make the transition to Windows 11 smoother

 

Microsoft has released update KB5020683 for Home and Professional editions of Windows 10 21H1, 21H2 and 22H2. relates to aout of the box experienceThe update is supposed to make the transition to the Windows 11 operating system smoother, Microsoft reported. This update is for new Windows 10 systems. They automatically install this update the first time they connect to the internet. They can then choose to receive the Windows 11 upgrade immediately (if the system is available).

Previously, the entire Windows 10 operating system was installed before users could download the Windows 11 update. Since nearly the entire process is automated, this transition should now be faster and smoother. The update is not available for Windows 10 version 20H2 as it expired earlier this year.
